Description: Grace at the Green Light is a homeless outreach organization committed to caring for the unhoused in a holistic and compassionate way. Their mission begins with meeting basic needs—offering breakfast 365 days a year—and extends to long-term support like medical care, rehabilitation referrals, ID recovery, job placement, and reconnection with family members. Their goal is to help each person take the next step toward stability and restoration. They do this by leading with LOVE and building relationships over time. The volunteer coordinator, shared: “I had an individual who came every morning for breakfast for nearly a year before asking for help getting an ID and job assistance. That trust took time, but it opened the door to real change.” This story reflects the heart of Grace at the Green Light—transforming lives through consistent presence and practical support. As a church, we want to come alongside this mission.

Description: Come be a part of bringing joy and hope to around 50 children in the Kraaifontein community. We are excited to launch a Serve Project focused on equipping our Mobile Kids’ Church! This initiative will help us create a fun, engaging, and welcoming environment for children wherever we gather. To make this possible, we’re putting together a supply list of essentials such as crayons, markers, glue, mobile tables, and more that people can donate for this project. We will also take time to put together small gift bags for the children during our serve project. Everyone who registers for the project will receive the full supply list. If you have any questions or would like more details, you can reach out directly to the project leader. Together, we can create an incredible space where kids can learn, grow, and experience God’s love!
Description: Brick Club SA provides free LEGO play kits to libraries, and we've just received a generous 100kg LEGO donation that needs sorting. Join us at our Buh Rein location (Sable Ridge Crescent) to help organize pieces into general categories like bricks, vehicles, and plates. No LEGO knowledge needed—photos and support will be provided. Expect lots of repetitive hand and shoulder movements, but no heavy lifting.

Description: One Heart NOLA (OHN) is a faith-based nonprofit that supports foster youth and families in the Greater New Orleans area. Their mission is to equip aged-out foster youth with the tools, support, and relationship. One powerful story from OHN’s founder, Terri, highlights their impact: a young woman aging out of foster care received a donated car through the organization. That car allowed her to get to work and eventually pay for college. One heart helps to set individuals up into opportunities that allow the trajectory for their life to grow. In partnership with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), OHN has helped keep siblings together, supported reunifying families, provided basic necessities, covered high school senior expenses, and awarded scholarships. Our church is excited to come alongside One Heart NOLA in their mission. Below are serve project opportunities were we will assist them in organizing donated resources and preparing items for distribution to foster families and youth.

Description: Tivoli Place offers Section 8 housing for low-income individuals in New Orleans. Many of the residents are elderly, retired veterans even, who are often living away from family and in need of care, companionship, and encouragement. This is an opportunity to come alongside them to show some love! 1 Timothy 5:1-2 – “Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but encourage him as if he were your father."
